The 1st Annual Fayetteville State University Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS Prevention Symposium is a multidisciplinary forum aimed at substance abuse and HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. This symposium will be comprised of domestic and international scholars from all disciplines in academia, community leaders, civic officials, public office holders, medical professionals, and community activists. The goal of this symposium is to promote both institutional and community awareness of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS transmission in order to increase capacity for prevention and healthy lifestyles.

The 1st Annual Fayetteville State University Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS Prevention Symposium is presented and sponsored by the MSI CBO HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (CIHPP). The MSI CBO HIV Prevention Program (CIHPP) is funded by a $900,000 grant from the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Our program is aimed at reducing substance abuse and HIV infection in Cumberland County.
